So many stories, so little time.

One of the hardest things about being a writer is finding time to write all the stories that are in your head, or planned. Over the last two years, I have worked with some amazing cover artists for books that I have planned but I can’t seem to find time to sit down and write them. What I need is someone to do the dirty work of publishing so I can free up creative time.

Recently, much of my free time has been all about organizing my work, online and off. My laptop contains folders for Scrivener files, individual book folders, and an author info folder. This is just what belongs to me… double that if you include the folders for Undertaker Books. Plus, I work between my laptop and my work desktop (because it is faster)… so there’s a bit of disorganization at the moment.

Add on top of that, I want to an easy subscription service for my back catalog. The easiest platform I have found is REAM, which is a growing community. Ream is built by authors for books, much like Wattpad was. It helps keep your place while reading online and sends updates. While Ream is new, it also has a very different reader base. I think it is good to diversify. Again, this is still a work in progress.

I will be moving the subscriptions from Substack to Ream over next few weeks. If you have upgraded your subscription on Substack, you will receive access to REAM stories at no additional cost for up to a year.

WHY?

Because Amazon can and will censor LGBTQ+ stories whenever they feel like it. Authors, more than ever, need more baskets for their eggs—a lot of queer authors are working towards a better solution than being a slave to the ZON, who takes a huge chunk of money off the top.

*If a reader wants to move their subscription to another platform, reach out to me. I am working on a way to do so at the moment.

Cyan’s Posies & Peacocks is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
