Two acceptances on my plate…

Its a chilly morning in Denver and I wanted to share some exciting news with you. Are you ready?

FIRST A STORY…

The beginning of the year is always hard for me because I look back what I have accomplished in the year before. If it felt particularly hard, like I haven’t done much… I want to give up. 2025 was a merry-go-round of nothingness for me. I only released two books and completed two manuscripts of books that have not yet been published. That’s nothing compared to years like 2022 and 2023 where I was on a roll.

So what did I do for the first part of this year? (Yes, I know its only February).

I gave up. My good friend Rebecca and I had a big heart to heart about why we do what we do. And whether our books sell. Whether we are nominated for awards. Whether we are asked to participate in festivals and anthologies… we get to sit down every day with our imaginations and write another book.

And so… I picked up a pen (or sat down behind my MacBook) and wrote another story.

THE GOOD NEWS…

I wrote another story. LOL. The plan was for a smutty one-shot lesbian erotica, but it didn’t turn out that way. As a pantser, we don’t know how the story will play out and it twisted from a fun stalker story to a novelette based in my cannibal universe.

CORAL CHARM is a story that takes place at Pride in Denver. It is how one woman gets the disease. If you’ve read The Taste of Women or Mastering The Art of Female Cookery, you know that this cannibal is a disease that affects women who happen to consume human meat. Since this is a pandemic of sorts, everyone has a story of how they catch it. This is Coral’s erotic horromance into her cannibalism.

What makes this even better news is that it has already been accepted for publication. And before you say, you’re publishing your own book by letting Undertaker Books publish it… that is not the case even though UB is publishing it.

With Undertaker, all manuscripts go through an acceptance process. I’ve had books that don’t fit. Joe has had scripts that weren’t up the to UB standards either. I actually didn’t submit Coral Charm to Undertaker Books. Instead, I asked Joe to beta read it, just to tell me if it sucked or not.

His words: I’m a fan.

Coral Charm was picked up for our 2027 line-up for the summer, to be released around Pride Month as this story takes place during Denver’s Pride Parade.

You can read an unedited version of the first chapter of the book.

IN OTHER NEWS…

My novella, Baby was picked up by Bludgeoned Girls Press and pre-orders should be ready February 13th. I will post a link when you can order. And I will be sharing some ARCs as they become available. Since it’s with another press, I am bound to their rules.

Release date should be in March. Exact dates are unknown at this time. I’ll announce that when the pre-orders are up and available. It will be released in Kindle Unlimited, so I have been told. I’m excited to get both of these stories out into the world.

Now that Coral Charm is complete… I get to start the process over again.

I’m stepping into my vacation horromance, which is untitled at the moment.
