Agent Ortega sat at her desk in the FBI building just outside the city of Miami. She typed away at her computer as she filed various reports. Fellow agents were wrapping up the crime scene out in the field. Her work there was complete, but the case was far from solved.

She still had some of Rivera’s men in custody.

Angela could take her time with them since they were locked up on a dozen other charges. Photos of the men in captivity sat on her desk next to her. She picked them up, one by one, and studied each of the men. All but one were Hispanic.

He was a John Doe.

No identification on him. His prints weren’t in the system. Early twenties, sandy blond hair, dark green eyes.

They had identified the other men, nine of them. Each of them had licenses or green cards. Some were Cuban, others Puerto Rican. There was one Dominican in that mix.

The other six arrested were women. None of them had identification either, except one: Martha Trevino.
