Thoughts of parents warning their children not to go with strangers. The red flags gnawing at her common sense were nothing against her desire to be with this woman. Stars aligned in her favor, guiding a beautiful woman toward her for the first time.
All her life, she hid under an invisible cloak in order to make it through high school and then college. She was the dork with inept social graces who spent her life going against the norms. Now she felt seen. Wanted—the way Avery wanted her.
Ren was an older woman, one who must have had so much experience, especially when it was so easy to invite her back to her home. The words slipped off her tongue with such ease that Avery suspected this woman had a different girl every night, or at least every week. She’d make the most of it, because at the very least, she’d have a story to tell.
Avery summoned all her brave intentions as she snaked her hands around Ren’s stomach as they unlocked the front door. As they drew up towards her breast, Ren paused and drew in a breath as she cupped them. Avery’s knowledge of sex came from romance movies and raunchy stories in lesbian porn magazines that were geared toward straight men, both of which were fictionalized. However basic her moves were, they seemed to work, as Ren turned around and grasped her hands as she took another hungry kiss in the doorway.
The apartment opened into a cozy vestibule with stairs leading upward. Ren, walking backward, dragged her forward into the little room where Avery knocked the door closed behind them, needing constant contact with this woman. Once inside, Avery draped her arms around Ren’s neck, then slid them downward until her palms held Ren into place with their lips locked, sharing the same breaths.
