What’s up with all the polls?
Hello my friends… Thanks for being here with me.
Sometimes it takes a moment to figure out how to put all the pieces together in a puzzle. This is how I feel about this website. It’s a giant puzzle with a bunch of pieces that need to find its match.
You are the pieces… and I need to find what works with you and for you—or, you’ll leave me and that makes me sad. When I moved to Substack just over a year ago, I really didn’t know what I wanted from it. It was website where I could house my blog, pages, and newsletters—essentially cutting costs from third party places like WordPress and MailerLite.
And I love Substack. Having a blog and newsletter in one spot has been the best decision I have made. And there is so much more yet to come.
Over the past weeks, I’ve reached out to you on various occasions asking for your opinions. This is because I value your thoughts, especially if I want you to stay with me.
From the polls, I’ve been able to configure this Substack in a way that benefits you and your preferences.
Going forward… my back catalog will be posting WITHOUT any notifications going out. This allows me to post as many chapters as I want without spamming you. I will send out blast when the story has posted completely. All subscribers will be able to read its entirety for free. If you don’t want to read online, there will be a link to purchase the book from my website. Upgraded paid members will have a link to the FREE eBook behind their paywall. Everyone wins!!!
On my drafts/works in progress, I post when I am starting a new book and will send a link so you can decide if you want notifications on finished chapters to read. This way, you decide if you want to read as it’s being written. Again, everyone wins.
