Guess what? I’m being published…
You heard me… I’m being published.
On the advice of a recently-agented author, I submitted the manuscript to my horror novella, “BABY” to a few publishers. The book was picked up by Bludgeoned Girls Press and will be releasing this year. The plan is for March 2026. Official release date is to be announced.
There’s an inherent excitement in someone liking your work enough to want to publish it. While I do have many readers and fan that will reader mostly everything I write, it satisfying to be accepted somewhere.
I’ve been self-publishing since 2022. Early on, I submitted my Sapphic romance to various presses, only to be shot down. That’s when I told myself, I’d be a self-published author. But as I’ve been learning the biz and bettering my writing and prose, I’m finding that I am a lot more confident in submitting my horrror work.
The only hazard to that is the waiting game. I’ve always been one for instant gratification. Working with presses will test my patience for sure.
What does that mean for BABY?
Because it is being released by an indie press, BABY will not be publishing as a WIP or online story for at least a year. The press mentioned the book will be available in Kindle Unlimited, as well as paperback. I will be offering ARCs to upgraded subscribers when they become available.
52 in 52
This year, a group of authors decided to take a short story writing challenge. 52 short stories in 52 weeks. They don’t have to be great, or even good. It’s just to get writers to start and complete projects. It started on January 1st and I am about 334 words into my first short story of the year.

I am utlizing this challenge for the “LAST STAND AT DISCOLAND” book. This book is a serious work in progress, as it will be a collection of connected stories revolving around Discoland, a Studio 54-inspired club. The stories will be a mix of romance, horromance, and horror—each taking more inspiration from songs about dancing.
Because these are one-shot short stories, I do plan on posting them on this Substack for all to read. Once completed, they will be collected in a special edition eBook, paperback, and possible hard cover.
girl/Mistress
Yup… it’s official. The girl/Mistress series is off of KU (or at least the earlier books) and that means it’s coming to Substack.
I’ll be working on the extended version of the series, serialized for you. In order to keep SPAM (unwanted emails) to a minimum, you’ll need to adjust your settings. If you want to receive email notifications, please visit YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS HERE.

Again, thanks for sticking around with me. I hope you enjoy all the work I’m done and look forward to sharing it with you.
